We are entering an exciting phase of continued growth, product development, and technological renewal, driven by clear commercial frameworks. We are therefore seeking a strategic, business-oriented, and future-focused leader for the role of Vice President Product & Technology.

This is a key role with significant influence on Neuver’s future product portfolio, market position, and competitiveness. The role is part of the company’s extended management team and reports to the COO.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Vice President Product & Technology, you will be responsible for Neuver Maritime’s product portfolio and technology development. A strong understanding of our maneuvering systems and our customers’ operational needs and onboard realities is essential for success in the role. The role combines product management, strategy, technology, and business development. You will lead the work on product strategy, product roadmaps, innovation, and technological development, while ensuring close collaboration between sales, commercial business development, engineering, supply chain, production, project execution, and aftermarket.

An important part of the role is the interaction between product development and the market. You will work closely with sales and marketing to ensure that market insight, customer input, and commercial opportunities are translated into competitive products and profitable growth initiatives.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Product strategy and portfolio management

• Develop and maintain the company’s product strategy and product portfolio, grounded in a strong understanding of customers’ operational needs and onboard realities

• Establish and own product roadmaps for existing and future products.

• Ensure the right balance between standardization, innovation, and customer adaptation.

• Analyze market developments, competitors, and customer needs as the basis for product decisions.

• Ensure long-term competitiveness and profitability in the product portfolio.

Product management and commercial collaboration

• Work closely with sales and marketing to ensure alignment between market needs, product strategy, and technology development.

• Translate customer insight and market opportunities into concrete product initiatives and development priorities.

• Contribute to the development of value propositions, business cases, and portfolio strategies.

• Ensure that product roadmaps support the company’s growth ambitions and commercial objectives.

• Actively contributes to strengthening the products’ competitiveness and market position.

Technology and innovation

• Lead the development of next-generation products, systems, and digital solutions.

• Define and manage technology platforms and technical architectures.

• Ensure robust solutions with focus on quality, safety, reliability, and lifecycle costs.

• Drive standardization, modularization, and continuous improvement across product lines.

• Prioritize and follow up R&D and innovation projects.

Leadership and organizational development

• Build and develop a strong Product & Technology organization.

• Recruit, develop, and retain critical competence.

• Create a culture characterized by collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a leader who can combine product management, technology, customer understanding, and business acumen. You are likely to have experience from one or more of the following areas:

• Product management and portfolio management

• Technology leadership or engineering management

• Commercial product management

• Business development in technology companies

• Maritime industry, shipping, or another industry with complex technical products

We would also like you to have:

• Higher education within technology, engineering, product management, business/economics, or equivalent.

• Relevant experience that may compensate for formal education.

• Experience with developing and managing products or product portfolios.

• Documented ability to combine technology, market insight, and commercial objectives.

• Good understanding of product economics, customer value, and profitability analyses.
